This Privacy Policy describes how PandaPing (the "Service") handles information when you use our uptime monitoring platform at pandaping.io.
1. Information We Collect
PandaPing is designed with minimal data collection in mind. We do not require user registration and do not collect personal data by default.
Data you may provide voluntarily:
- Telegram ID — if you connect Telegram notifications via our bot;
- Email address — if you set up email alerts;
- Webhook URL — if you configure webhook notifications;
- Monitored hosts — IP addresses, domains and ports you add for monitoring.
Data collected automatically:
- Browser cookies — used solely for dashboard access authentication (session cookie) and UI preferences (theme, language). We do not use tracking cookies;
- Server logs — standard web server access logs (IP address, user agent, request URL) retained for security and debugging purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information exclusively for:
- Providing the monitoring service (checking your hosts, sending alerts);
- Authenticating access to your dashboards;
- Communicating with you about service-related matters;
- Maintaining security and preventing abuse.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the Service.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:
- Payment processors — when you make a purchase, payment data is handled directly by the third-party payment provider. We do not store card details;
- Legal requirements — if required by applicable law or valid legal process.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secured servers. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.
Dashboard Links serve as access credentials. You are responsible for keeping them confidential.
5. Data Retention
- Monitoring data and incident history are retained for 90 days (or 365 days with the Extended History feature);
- Account data (dashboard settings, host configurations) is retained for as long as the dashboard exists;
- Server logs are retained for up to 30 days.
6. Your Rights
You may at any time:
- Delete any monitored host or notification settings from your dashboard;
- Request deletion of your dashboard and all associated data by contacting us;
- Disconnect Telegram or email notifications.
7. Cookies
We use a minimal set of cookies:
- pp_ok — dashboard authentication (essential);
- pp_lang — language preference;
- pandaping-theme — dark/light theme preference (localStorage).
We do not use any third-party analytics or tracking cookies.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
